Madrid

I'm here! I could not have asked for a better flight! I slept through most of the flights, was greeted with a smile by a guy from the school and made it here safely! Yes, the weather is hot, but it's beautiful here! The best thing is that I will have wireless internet here at home! Hooray! :) It should be an adventure, that's for sure! Sorry this is short, but I want to go ahead and unpack and take a shower. Thank you for your prayers!

A Spaugh Break!

What a day. It's 11:40 p.m. and I just finished and sent off a PreAssignment for one of my classes that was due by Midnight! Well, I guess it was due by midnight - it was due by today, so 11:40 is still today - at least I hope that the professor is in the Central Time Zone, or hopefully out in California! :) Who knows! It's completed and now I can sleep a little better tonight.

I've been getting pretty stressed out about these classes I'm taking next month. (I'm sorry Ang, I just can't stop from stressing about it!) There are four classes, each class lasts all day for exactly one week. It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many PreAssignments and PreReadings! :) I'm nervous to know how I compare to everyone else - not that that matters, but I just feel like it's been years since I've had to write a paper. I am supposed to have read through a bunch of research already and journals, trying to find the one topic I care enough to write a research paper about! I think I have an idea, but putting it all down in APA style and all that fun stuff just makes me stressed out! Thankfully I am only at the beginning and they are supposed to be there to help me, right?!

Needless to say, the program is only 13 months, and by the end of July of next year, I will be graduating with my Masters in International Education. (Exactly FOUR days before my 30th birthday!) After that ceremony, I plan on traveling through Western Europe with anyone who is willing to come!

Enough about all that fun school stuff! Today I had a "Spaugh Break!" No, I'm not mispelling the word - but I had the wonderful pleasure of having lunch and ice cream with my amazing friend Erin and her 3 yr. old son, Greyson Cash! I hadn't seen Erin since the end of December, so it was a long awaited visit! She finally saw my house - in its supposedly 'finished' state, we ate at Mr.Gattis our favorite pizza place, walked around the Downtown Square and shopped a bit, and then ate some Ice Cream at the I Skream Co. I took some pictures from our adventures, so I thought I would share some with you!

Oh, and you can't forget the sprinkles!Erin and Greyson - what a fun afternoon with two of my favorite people!

Family Reunion 6.14.08

Not only did I spend five days in the Bahamas, but last Saturday I hosted a family reunion at my house! (I needed a trip to the Bahamas after that!) I have to say that the weather turned out beautiful, my yard looked good and we all had a ton of fun. My family hadn't gotten together in quite sometime, so we were excited to have many family members drive and fly in for a change. I don't know if I'll host the event again, but it was well worth the hard work!

Kaylene and PeteMatthew loved my double-dipped with red, white and blue sprinkled strawberries!My cousin Graham, KK and his daughter HannahI asked Matthew to pose while he was sniffing the flowers - little did I know that he thought it would be fun to just pick them! The situation changed when he was kind enough to share them with his mom while I took a great pictures of the two of them!

Bahamas

What an adventure! Last night we arrived home from an amazing vacation at the Atlantis! I had actually won the trip, which made it even better! A free trip to the Bahamas, what more could you ask for? After experiencing a few days of rain, we were given complete sunshine on Thursday, which amounted to a not-so-pretty sunburn. I didn't want to come home without a tan, but it seems to have backfired on me and resulted in a one-sided burn, complete with white lines where my wristband and locker key were!
